There are certain stories that never seem to grow old. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is one of them.

I’ve always loved classic horror, especially the old black-and-white films. There was something about the shadows, the atmosphere, and the way they relied on suspense instead of spectacle. They left room for your imagination, and that’s where the real horror lived.

When I wrote Monster Monster Monster, I kept coming back to Jekyll and Hyde. The story isn’t really about a monster running through the streets. It’s about the battle we all have with ourselves. The parts of us we’re proud of, the parts we hide, and the parts we hope no one ever sees.

For the music video, I wanted to create my own version of that story.

Set in a Victorian world of fog, gas lamps, horse-drawn carriages, old laboratories, dark alleyways, and endless corridors, Dr. Jekyll believes he has discovered a way to separate good from evil. Instead, he discovers something much more frightening. Every time he drinks the serum, Hyde grows stronger. What begins as curiosity slowly becomes addiction, and before long the monster no longer needs the potion.

The city begins hunting Hyde for a terrible crime, but the greatest chase isn’t happening in the streets.

It’s happening inside one man.

This video was created as a short musical film, inspired by the classic horror movies that first made me fall in love with storytelling. I wanted it to feel like something that could have been discovered in an old film archive, restored decades later, and given new life through music.
